I’ve always loved packed ramen noodles but after today, I will never look at packed ramen noodles the same way! I found one of the best ramen spots in town called Rokaru Ramen, serving the closest you will get to authentic ramen! Their menu consists of appetizers, Rokaru rice, Yakitori, ramen and many unique drinks including milk tea, Jasmine green tea, slushies and more!
I, of course, had to get an appetizer to start off with, but I decided to get something I’ve never tried before, octopus balls. I was very flustered when it was first served to my table because the bonito flakes that are served on top were moving so I was like “uh un”, the server explained that Bonito flakes only move due to their thin and light structure upon the presence of hot and warm food. That was pretty reassuring so I continued to take my very first bite! It was literally AMAZE BALLS! I was mind blown that I was actually enjoying octopus balls!
I also built my own ramen, with the help of my amazing server, Jerry I was able to put together the perfect ramen bowl which consisted of chicken soup base, shoyu base tare, topped with shrimp tempura, corn, scallions, seaweed, beansprouts, and a soft boiled egg spiced at a 1 of a 0-4 scale. My first bite was a legit jaw dropper! Everything came together so perfect, every bite was bursting of delicious flavors
I lastly ordered milk tea, which was also something I was trying for the very first time. It came in a cute souvenir cup and boy oh boy was it good. It faintly reminded me of the taste of milk after eating a bowl of Froot Loops.
If you are looking for a place to try some amazing ramen, rokaru rice or milk tea, this is the place for you!
